Imprivata Named One of The Boston Globe’s Top Places to Work for 2012

Lexington, Mass., November 5, 2012 – Imprivata®, the leader in healthcare IT security, today announced it has been named one of The Boston’s Globe’s Top Places to Work for 2012, recognized as one of Massachusetts’ best employers.

“At Imprivata, our people are our greatest asset, and it is most gratifying to see that their input has landed us on The Boston Globe’s distinguished list of Best Places to Work,” said Omar Hussain, president and CEO at Imprivata. "We have a very passionate, hardworking staff that is dedicated to our customers, but what makes Imprivata truly special is that our people genuinely enjoy working here. Our goal is to keep the work environment stimulating and fun so that employees grow, contribute and feel they are valued as the company continues its upward trajectory as the leader in healthcare IT security.”

In August, Imprivata announced record first half growth with a 45 percent year-over-year increase worldwide. During the first six months of 2012, Imprivata added 105 new healthcare customers, further supporting the company’s number one Single Sign-On (SSO) market share leadership position in U.S. acute care hospitals. To support the company’s continued growth Imprivata will be more than doubling its Lexington office space later this month and is looking to hire 40 more employees in Q4, on top of the 20 staff added earlier in 2012.

Imprivata is featured in The Boston Globe’s popular 44-page magazine included in Sunday's print edition, as well as on BostonGlobe.com and Boston.com. Imprivata’s rock band is featured as its “Top Places Perk.” The Globe’s Top Places to Work list is now in its fifth year of honoring the state’s best workplaces based on feedback from those who know best – the employees themselves. The report recognizes 100 employers in three size categories, based on the number of employees in Massachusetts. Imprivata was ranked in the medium-employer category (100 to 249 employees).

The Boston Globe’s 2012 Top Places to Work survey was conducted by WorkPlace Dynamics of Exton, Pa., specialists in employee engagement and retention. The Globe invited 1,586 employers to participate in the survey; 304 organizations employing a total of 210,000 people completed the process. Completed surveys were received from 81,907 individuals, who rated their employers based on workplace practices in compensation, leadership, appreciation, career opportunities and management.

The Top Places to Work magazine also includes online extras, such as videos, sortable rankings and photo galleries. You can find videos and pictures at www.bostonglobe.com/topplaces and www.boston.com/topworkplaces.
