Imprivata Partners with DrFirst to Advance Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances

Imprivata’s Two-Factor Authentication Integrated with DrFirst EPCS Gold Allows Providers to Efficiently and Securely Prescribe Controlled Substances Electronically 

Orlando, Fla.—February 25, 2014—Imprivata® (HIMSS14 booth #2541), a leading provider of authentication and access management solutions for the healthcare industry, and DrFirst (HIMSS14 booth #1891), a leading provider of healthcare IT solutions services designed to improve clinical outcomes for patients, today announced a partnership to deliver a combined solution for integration of providers authentication into the  electronic prescribing of controlled substances (EPCS) workflow. The companies will focus on the integration of Imprivata’s two-factor authentication management capabilities with DrFirst’s EPCS Gold^SM solution to enable providers to more efficiently and securely prescribe controlled substances electronically.
