Software Engineer - Server

Position Summary:

As a member of the software development team, the position is focused on the server components of Imprivata’s product set. This team is responsible for the architecture, design, and development of server-side features and components of the Imprivata OneSign product. The successful candidate will have proven experience in the design and implementation of server-side products implemented in Java utilizing application servers and databases. An ideal candidate will have experience building highly scalable and robust server solutions.

Key Qualifications:

• 3+ years of product development experience utilizing Java.

• Experience building server software that is extremely robust and reliable and capable of providing high performance under heavy load.

• Working knowledge of J2EE, XML, SOAP, JDBC, JNDI, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and the Linux environment.

• Proven track record of successfully executing the software development life cycle and bringing products to market.

• Strong design skills with the ability to work well in a very dynamic, fast moving environment with high expectations.

• Experience with the RADIUS protocol and related security infrastructure is desirable.

• Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Novell eDirectory, and/or LDAP directories is a plus.

• Experience with Oracle is a plus.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers and partners as needed.

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related degree.
