Wealth Management Firm Glenmede Implements Imprivata OneSign for Single Sign-On and Strong Authentication
Glenmede is constantly working to meet Office of the Comptroller of the Currency guidelines and Graham Leech Bliley Act regulations that require formalized security procedures. In order to increase security and improve efficiency, the firm sought out a solution that was easy to use and administer and that supported a wide array of applications and authentication scenarios. In addition, a security policy implemented at Glenmede three years ago required password expiration every month, time outs after a few minutes and the use of complex passwords. Over multiple applications, this proved to be a serious drain on resources, including the help desk.
Glenmede implemented Imprivata OneSign™ Single Sign-On (SSO) and OneSign Authentication Management (AM) to provide easy and convenient access to its networks and client-service related applications, such as trading, CRM, trust accounting and portfolio management. “Since we’ve brought in single sign-on, the feedback has been very positive,” said Nicholas Voutsakis, chief technology officer for Glenmede. “Because of OneSign’s flexibility to easily integrate with both proximity cards and biometrics readers we were able to implement greater security without inconveniencing our users.”
