EMEA Advanced Training
The intent of the two day advanced training course is to enable Imprivata partners and high end Imprivata customers to better handle sophisticated customer environments and quickly troubleshoot critical issues. Students will also be taught how to plan and implement complex deployments for large customers with diverse environments. This will include best practices for appliance and application management, as well as strategies for deploying the OneSign Agent.
Students will be trained to anticipate and resolve a wide range of problems. Our partners and customers will become more independent and able to more quickly resolve complex issues when working with the Imprivata support and services teams.
Below is the outline for the 2 day advanced training.
Advanced Appliance Administration and Troubleshooting
· Synching with Active Directory – Advanced Strategy and Troubleshooting
o Configuration of AD with OneSign / Setting the domain up in OneSign Admin UI
o Synch process overview. Different kinds of Synch (Implicit, Manual, Scheduled etc).
o Troubleshooting issues when synching with AD
o Using Logs to understand the Synchronization Process
o Information required when opening an AD synch related support case.
· Advanced Appliance Administration:
o Advanced Configuration Strategies for OneSign in the Enterprise
o Troubleshooting complex appliance issues
o Troubleshooting Appliance replication issues
o Advanced Disaster Recovery Planning and Backup Strategies
o Troubleshooting backup issues
· Upgrading Appliances
o How to upgrade OneSign Appliances?
o Different strategies
o Failback scenarios
· Understanding Client Logs (ISX trace)
o What is an ISX trace and where is it run from?
o How is continuous logging switch on, why is continuous logging used?
o How to enable trace via registry?
o How to enable remote trace and server log filtering?
o Brief description on Client error codes.
o Example: Vetting a trace with pre provided date and time.
· Understanding Server Logs
o What are server logs and where is it run from?
o What are server logs in a debug mode? What extra information is recorded here?
o How to get logs if Appliance UI is unavailable?
o How to navigate through server logs?
