OneSign FastPass technology eliminates clinician access challenges by providing fast and secure access to workstations with the simple touch of a user’s fingerprint or their proximity card ID badge—no more typing! Users now have the unprecedented ability to seamlessly move among different points of care and quickly gain secure access to patient information without the burden of typical access issues.

OneSign FastPass allows users to quickly and securely log on to different workstations simply by touching their finger or ID badge on a reader without having to type their Windows username and password everytime they log on. OneSign FastPass offers two options to support the following user authentication scenarios:

• FastPass for Proximity Cards: Users perform a secure, two-part authentication at the beginning of their work shift by touching their ID badge on a reader and entering an easy to remember PIN or password as a second identification factor. From that point on, FastPass starts an authentication ‘grace period’ during which users need only to touch their card on the reader to access any shared workstation.

• FastPass for Finger Biometrics: Users touch their finger to a biometric reader to positively identify and authenticate to the workstation. OneSign’s patented fingerprint technology is the only available solution to identify and authenticate a user in a single, easy step—typing a user name and password is no longer required.
