Today, Parkview’s physicians and clinicians access medical records by authenticating via finger biometric readers that are placed on stationary PCs or Computers on Wheels (COWs) throughout the hospital. This provides the convenience of full access to the applications they need to be effective, while helping the hospital comply with HIPAA.
