Imprivata OneSign® Connector leverages Epic's authentication API to provide the best user experience possible when signing in, signing out or signing off on documentation for encounters, orders or prescriptions within Hyperspace. This programmatic integration also simplifies deployment and maintenance.

The OneSign Connector for Epic allows providers to authenticate, log in and log out via the tap of a badge or swipe of a fingerprint. It simplifies workflows in a range of environments, including:

  • Epic only: Optimized for environments where only Epic applications are used on the workstation such as patient exam rooms in a physician practice.
  • Multiple applications: Optimized for workstations where single sign-on is required for multiple applications. Care providers sign in and out of their applications without ever seeing a login screen.
  • Secure signing: The OneSign ProveID™ API allows care providers to sign encounters, orders and prescriptions with a tap of a badge or swipe of a fingerprint.

Imprivata OneSign is a trusted solution, approved by the Ohio Board of Pharmacy for the strong authentication required for medication orders, administration and dispensing in that state. In addition, Epic Hyperspace can be configured in Chronicles to automatically use the OneSign Connector or the native Epic login screen based on the workstation being used. This allows for a phased rollout of OneSign Single Sign-On based on location.
