OneSign Virtual Desktop Access for VMware

What it is

Imprivata OneSign® Virtual Desktop Access together with VMware View enables No Click Access™ to AlwaysOn Point of Care™ desktops. Streamlining desktop access, just the tap of a badge or swipe of a fingerprint is needed, and care providers immediately access their personal desktop from any location significantly optimizing clinical workflows. Better yet, it eliminates clicks, saves time and enhances care delivery. OneSign Virtual Desktop Access is the only solution that enables No Click Access desktop roaming from Teradici PCoIP zero client devices.

Why it matters

Care providers are always on the move. Every time they change locations, they have to log into the workstation, launch the clinical or administrative applications they need and navigate back to the patient chart. This wastes valuable time, causes frustration and shifts focus away from the patient. No Click Access to VMware View enables streamlined access to AlwaysOn Point of Care desktops from any location. This capability encourages CPOE adoption and entry of patient information at the point of care, enhancing care delivery.

How it works

Imprivata automates and streamlines the VMware View login process, including authenticating to the workstation, launching and authenticating to the View client, and selecting the care provider's desktop. Through API-level integration, care providers don't even see the login screen, making the process simple and quick.

Thanks to a close development partnership with Teradici, OneSign Virtual Desktop Access is tightly integrated into the Teradici firmware installed in zero client devices. As a result, card readers can be plugged into the zero client device and user sessions can be authenticated and accessed with the tap of a badge.
