Imprivata to Showcase New Innovations for Positive Patient Identification, Two-Factor Authentication, and Secure Clinical Communications during Cerner Health Conference

Imprivata and Customers to Highlight Imprivata’s Solutions for Enabling Providers to Securely and Efficiently Access, Communicate, and Transact Patient Health Information

Lexington, Mass.–October 6, 2015—Imprivata® (NYSE: IMPR), the healthcare IT security company, will showcase new innovations for positive patient identification, secure, efficient clinical communication , and fast, convenient two-factor authentication during the Cerner Health Conference (October 11-14, 2015 in Kansas City, Mo.; Imprivata booth #429).

At the show, Imprivata will showcase new capabilities of Imprivata Cortext®, the secure communication platform for healthcare that is exclusively endorsed by the American Hospital Association for secure messaging. Imprivata Cortext enables providers to communicate across their mobile device, tablet, or desktop to better coordinate care amongst physicians, nurses, and other clinical staff. At the Cerner Health Conference, Imprivata will display integrations with scheduling applications for role-based messaging, which enhances care team coordination for workflows such as consults, code and trauma team activations, referrals, and others.

Imprivata will also display Imprivata PatientSecure™, a positive patient identification solution that uses palm vein biometrics to create a one-to-one link between patients and their correct medial record. Imprivata PatientSecure addresses patient misidentification, improve patient safety and satisfaction, eliminate duplicate medical records and overlays, drive revenue cycle efficiency, and safeguard against identity theft and insurance fraud.

Imprivata will also showcase its cutting-edge authentication solutions, including Hands Free Authentication™, a breakthrough, proximity-based authentication technology that delivers exceptional speed, convenience, and security for providers. Hands Free Authentication wirelessly retrieves and verifies a one-time password (OTP) from a provider’s mobile device, eliminating the need for the provider to manually enter a password or type a token code. Integrated with Imprivata Confirm ID™, the fast, secure signing solution for EPCS, Hands Free Authentication enables a seamless e-prescribing workflow, which drives provider satisfaction, efficiency, and adoption of EPCS.

During the conference, several Imprivata customers will deliver presentations about their use of Imprivata solutions to meet the DEA requirements for EPCS while ensuring a fast, convenient workflow for their providers. Customer presentations include:
