Steward Healthcare System Teams with Imprivata to Improve Communication Between Providers

LAS VEGAS/HIMSS Booth #3043—March 2, 2016—Imprivata® (NYSE: IMPR), the healthcare IT security company, announced today that Steward Healthcare System will implement Imprivata Cortext across all nine of the organization’s hospitals to improve communication between providers, ultimately replacing many pagers.

“Pagers have long been the communication tool of choice, but they limit our clinicians’ ability to connect effectively. As healthcare joins the digital age, we recognized the need to identify a partner that could help streamline our communications between clinicians,” said Julie Berry, CIO Steward Healthcare System. “We are excited to be working with Imprivata to provide our staff with a secure communications platform that meets the needs of healthcare in 2016.”

Last month, Imprivata Cortext was named Category Leader for Secure Messaging in the 2015/2016 Best in KLAS: Software and Services Report. This report marked the first year for the category. In January, Cortext achieved SOC 2 Type 1 certification, which is recognized worldwide as one of the strictest audit standards for service providers. The American Hospital Association (AHA) exclusively endorsed Imprivata Cortext® in 2015 for the Secure Messaging based on its ability to sync messages in real time; its centralized platform which supports clinical, broadcast and patient communication across multiple sites in the care continuum; and proven adoption.

“Effective communication is the backbone of cost-efficient, timely and high quality healthcare delivery,” shared Ed Gaudet, General Manager of Imprivata Cortext. “We are thrilled to partner with Steward, a leader in integrated care, to deliver a platform that allows clinical communication anytime, from anywhere.”

Imprivata Cortext will be on display at HIMSS booth #3043. For more information, please visit https://www.imprivata.com/secure-communications.
