OhioHealth’s Dublin Methodist Hospital Goes Paperless, Providing Secure Access to Digital Information with Imprivata OneSign®
Upon arriving at Dublin Methodist Hospital, patients are greeted by staff with wireless tablet computers replacing the traditional admissions desk. From there, the patient sees only a few pieces of paper – a discharge document, consent for treatment forms, and possibly a payment receipt if requested. With digital record keeping replacing the extensive paper files common in most healthcare settings, security and ease-of-use were key considerations. The hospital tapped Imprivata’s OneSign ®Single Sign-On (SSO) to serve as the centerpiece of the digital authentication strategy. OneSign provides users easy access with one strong password or biometric to all of the applications and information necessary for optimum patient care.
