Imprivata Positioned in the Leaders Quadrant of Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Single Sign-On, 2007
LEXINGTON, MA -- August 31, 2007 – Imprivata®, Inc., the enterprise identity and access management appliance company, today announced it has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Single Sign-On, 20071 (click here to view the full report). Gartner defines Enterprise Single Sign-On (ESSO) tools as enabling “…users to authenticate once to the tool and to be subsequently and automatically authenticated to other target systems when these are accessed—almost always without modification to the target systems…ESSO tools also handle change requests from target systems and may support post-sign-on automation for additional tasks.” Imprivata was placed in the Leaders Quadrant based on its ability to execute and its completeness of vision.
According to the Gartner report, “Leaders in the ESSO market show a consistent ability to gain new customers in broad industries and geographies and at the higher end of the quadrant, have very good to excellent customer references, products that easily or very easily integrate with target systems and a commitment to rapidly provide the product updates their customers want.”
“We feel that our positioning in the Leaders Quadrant of Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Enterprise Single Sign-On, 2007 validates our dedication to providing customers with the industry’s most flexible, powerful and easy to implement single sign-on appliance,” said Omar Hussain, president and CEO of Imprivata. “We are proud of the recognition, especially our ability to execute—and will continue to consistently deliver more value beyond OneSign’s core functionality, providing our customers with the innovative authentication, access management, convergence and compliance capabilities that they have come to expect from Imprivata.”
Imprivata OneSign™ is an authentication and access management solution conveniently packaged in an affordable and secure purpose-built appliance that is easy to implement and maintain. The Imprivata OneSign platform includes OneSign Single Sign-On (SSO), which is designed to quickly and effectively solve password management and user access issues. OneSign SSO single sign-on enables all applications—legacy, client/server and Web—without requiring any custom scripting, changes to existing directories, or inconvenient end-user work flow changes. It dramatically lowers help desk costs associated with forgotten password resets, increases user productivity and satisfaction, strengthens password security and supports regulatory compliance initiatives.
Criteria determining the placement of companies within the Gartner Magic Quadrant included market understanding; sales strategy; offering (product) strategy; business model; vertical/industry strategy; and geographic strategy.
