The year of mobile in healthcare

As you can probably tell from these presentation topics, mobile in healthcare is set to be a big theme this year – at ViVE and beyond. As care delivery demands increase and healthcare organizations battle talent and staffing shortages, productivity and efficiency couldn’t be more valuable in modern healthcare delivery environments.

Many organizations are adopting mobile devices to help streamline clinical workflows, but ensuring they are properly enabled for the workforce can be a challenge in healthcare’s complex IT ecosystem. But implementing the optimal strategy isn’t always straightforward. In fact, many organizations encounter challenges when building a mobile strategy because it requires deep integrations between hardware and software, as well as cross-functional collaboration with all the different teams who utilize and manage devices.

Figuring out where to start can be a challenge, but once aligned, the result of a successful mobile access management strategy can pay dividends – take it from a provider who’s been there and seen the clinician satisfaction first-hand.

“We originally deployed the iPhones primarily for nurses and porters,” said Dr. Aviv Gladman, Chief Medical Information Officer and a critical care physician at Mackenzie Health, in a case study with Imprivata. “But I see doctors pulling them all the time, because Imprivata makes it so easy.”

Dr. Gladman and the team at Mackenzie Health will be presenting their mobile project during ViVE on Monday, where you can learn more about their approach and ask questions live.

Continuing with the mobile theme, Dr. Kelly’s educational session on Tuesday will cover the latest trends in mobility, such as the increasing use of mobile devices and the importance of secure and efficient access to patient data. He will share insights into how healthcare organizations can implement successful mobile strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining clinical efficiency. Now recently recognized as the <2025 Best in KLAS winner for Access Management, we’re eager to continue innovating our mobile access management solution to drive greater productivity and value for healthcare organizations.
