KLAS Report Single Sign On: To Identity Management and Beyond
Release Date: Tuesday, December 07, 2010
Faster logins, increased productivity, enhanced clinical workflow, and improved security are among the benefits providers seek in single sign-on (SSO) technologies. As in 2008, when KLAS first published research on the SSO market, increasing numbers of providers continue to report that these solutions free clinicians from many repetitive tasks associated with logging into applications to access patient information. This freedom allows clinicians to focus more on patient care and their own workflow without being encumbered by technology. SSO prevents users from having to enter multiple usernames and passwords and, when implemented and used correctly, can greatly reduce the number of clicks required to access clinical systems.
