Celebrating excellence: Highlights from the Imprivata Connect London Customer Achievement Awards

Imprivata Connect 2025 London (formerly HealthCon) took place at the St Martin’s Lane Hotel, Covent Garden, London, on 6 November. It was a busy, vibrant day, hosted by our CEO Fran Rosch, with our customers, guests and the Imprivata team sharing experiences and learnings. One key theme that was repeated again and again by various speakers was the imperative to make life easier for clinicians – to remove some of the cognitive burden, making technology easy and seamless to use. Keep the clinicians happy, and everyone else is happy too, to the ultimate benefit of patients. This is a sentiment that has long been close to our hearts, so it was great to hear it being repeated by so many of our guest speakers.

As in previous years, a key part of the day was the presentation of our customer achievement awards. This year there were four categories, with a winner and special commendation in each category. There was a rigorous selection process with a team from Imprivata nominating customers, and then a broader team which included Imprivata’s clinical team, analysing each submission. With all the notable UK customers with varying achievements, the decisions certainly weren’t easy, however, improving the clinician experience was certainly a key metric.

The Innovator Award, for the Imprivata champion whose success story resonates innovation and achievement within their organisation, is awarded to University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group, with their group partnership University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust, for its multi ICS-wide deployment of Vendor Privileged Access Management (VPAM) with internal access.

The joint programme means the group will be the first to go live with a full Privileged Access Security solution in the UK, the first-of-its-kind deployment across two ICSs Northamptonshire and Leicester, has laid the foundations for extending Privileged Access Security (PAS) capabilities to internal privileged identities and set a new national benchmark for collaborative cyber maturity.

Ilias Khalifa, Cyber Security Lead, University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS Group, commented: “Thank you, we are delighted to receive the Innovator Award on behalf of our group University Hospitals of Northamptonshire NHS and University Hospitals of Leicester and our Northamptonshire and Leicester ICS partners. This recognition highlights the collective effort undertaken to implement a first-of-its-kind Privileged Access Management solution for Vendors (VPAM) across multiple ICSs in the UK. The initiative has laid the foundation for managing internal privileged identities with full Privileged Access Security (PAS) capabilities across our Group”

The Impact Award, for the customer who has achieved an outstanding roll-out of an Imprivata solution, was awarded to Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, for its amazing 60-day implementation of Enterprise Access Management (EAM). The timescale was all the more impressive because it included re-engineering Kiosks and MUDs, which significantly reduced login time.

Mustansar Hussain, Enterprise Architect at Royal Berkshire said; “We are delighted to have won the Imprivata Impact Award. The project was a showcase of forward planning and teamwork between the Trust, Imprivata and our clinical staff to ensure that the roll-out of the new technology ran as seamlessly as possible.
