Imprivata OneSign to Support Citrix XenDesktop 7 to Provide Customers with Secure No Click Access® to Desktops and Applications

Today, Imprivata announced an exciting expansion of the company’s strategic partnership with Citrix—Imprivata OneSign® will provide application single sign-on (SSO) and authentication management support for Citrix XenDesktop® 7.

XenDesktop 7 is built with “secure by design” architecture to protect intellectual property and keep sensitive data safe by hosting the applications and desktops in the datacenter. Imprivata OneSign® enhances this architecture by enabling users to gain authenticated access to desktops and applications with just the tap of a badge or swipe of a fingerprint. In healthcare, finance and state and local government environments, including access to the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS), No Click Access® creates significant time savings and breaks down the technological barriers that can hinder technology adoption.

To support the full complement of desktop virtualization benefits, last year Imprivata announced a partnership with Texas Instruments to enable strong authentication support from HDX System on a Chip zero client devices. Working with vendors such as Dell Wyse, HP, IGEL and, most recently NComputing, Imprivata is the only vendor that is embedded in the firmware of these devices and is able to provide true roaming between zero client devices. Attendees at Citrix Synergy™ can see evidence of these partnerships with the combined solutions being demonstrated on each of these partner booths (details available here).

Imprivata is a Citrix Ready™ Premier Partner, giving customers confidence that Imprivata OneSign has successfully passed a series of tests established by Citrix. Imprivata OneSign can be trusted to work effectively with XenDesktop and XenApp® to provide customers with simplified, secure access to mission-critical applications and information to increase workflow efficiency, boost productivity and reduce cost. A great example of this is Augusta Health, an award winning hospital in Virginia that uses Imprivata OneSign and XenDesktop to break down the barriers between care providers and IT and drive the adoption of computerized physician order entry (CPOE). This is another milestone in what has been a very strong partnership with Citrix, and in fact, earlier this week, Imprivata also announced a program to enable customers using the Citrix SSO feature to seamlessly migrate to Imprivata OneSign to enhance security and increase workflow efficiency. Organizations that currently rely on Citrix to support Windows application SSO for XenDesktop® and XenApp® platforms are eligible to participate.

If you are attending Citrix Synergy, we encourage you to come by the Imprivata booth (#502) for more information about our migration program and to see a demonstration of the features and benefits of Imprivata OneSign for Citrix customers. During the conference, Imprivata will also participate in a speaking session titled “Improving patient care with desktop virtualization and SSO.” Imprivata will join Dell Wyse (an Imprivata partner) and Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System (an Imprivata customer) to discuss the benefits of SSO and desktop virtualization in healthcare. The session (SYN236) will take place on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. PDT in Anaheim Convention Center Room 304A.
