Imprivata Appoints Bob McCashin to Board of Directors

Former Identix Inc. and Electronic Data Systems Executive Brings Decades of Security and Federal Experience to Help Imprivata Extend its Expertise in the Government Sector

LEXINGTON, MA July 30, 2008 Imprivata®, Inc., the converged identity and access management appliance company, announced today the appointment of Bob McCashin to its Board of Directors. Formerly chairman, CEO and director of Identix Inc., a leader in designing, developing, and manufacturing multi-biometric security products, and corporate vice president of EDS, a provider of enterprise customer management solutions, Mr. McCashin brings more than 35 years of experience in security and information services to Imprivata. He will provide valuable counsel as Imprivata continues to meet growing market demand for authentication solutions, and specifically as the company extends its reach deeper into government markets.

Currently serving as Executive Chairman for Integrian, a provider of advanced mobile surveillance systems, Mr. McCashin is also Director for Peerless Manufacturing Inc., a provider of custom-engineered systems and products, and Argon ST, Inc., a systems engineering, development and services company.

Prior to his directorship positions, Mr. McCashin’s tenure at Identix included moving the company to the NASDAQ and leading the acquisition of Visoinics, thereby positioning Identix as the worldwide leader in multi-biometric security products.

Prior to Identix, Mr. McCashin held various positions at Electronic Data Systems (EDS), a leading global services company. His final role at EDS was President and CEO of CENTROBE, the business unit created out of the consolidation of EDS worldwide call centers and database operations. There, Mr. McCashin spearheaded the acquisition of Neodata, and merged several units into CENTROBE. The company achieved 1998 revenues of $830M with expected 1999 revenues of $1 billion under Mr. McCashin's leadership. During his tenure at EDS, Mr. McCashin also led their Federal Business and has extensive international relations experience both in Europe and in South and Central America.

Mr. McCashin is a graduate of St. Johns University in New York. He served in Vietnam as a USMC 1st Lt. infantry platoon commander, and was awarded a Bronze Star for valor.
