Imprivata Maintains Leadership Position in Identity and Access Management Industry with Strong Momentum in 2007

Company Increases Customer Base by 70%, Expands Partner Base into 40 Countries and Receives Notable Honors from Leading Media and Industry Analyst Firms

LEXINGTON, MA - February 1, 2008 - Imprivata, Inc., the converged identity and access management appliance company, today announced that over the past 12 months it has added 210 new customers, expanded its partner network into 40 countries and grown its employee-base by more than 31 percent. In addition to its growth, Imprivata received several industry awards and acknowledgments touting product and overall company excellence.

In 2007, concerns over insider threat rose to the top of the priority list, said Omar Hussain, president and CEO of Imprivata. Combine that with increasing worries over regulatory compliance and we have a tremendous number of organizations looking to take immediate action to secure their operations. Fortunately, we are uniquely suited to help in solving these security issues and it has resulted in a wave of growth for Imprivata in 2007 and it continues into 2008.

Between January of 2007 and the close of the year, Imprivata dramatically raised its total customer count, with 28% of these companies coming on board in Q3 and 36% in the Q4 timeframe. Spanning 28 countries, new customers include Hackensack University Medical Center, Hilton Grand Vacations Company, H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, Liverpool Womens NHS Foundation Trust, OhioHealth, Parkview Adventist Medical Center, Royal & Sun Alliance and the Seattle Times Company among others.

On the partner front, Imprivata expanded its global network, signing reseller agreements with key partners including CDW, Cerner Corporation, Honeywell, Lenel, Securitas Group, Steria, Trusted-ID, and Tyco International's Software House. Imprivatas partner network now has a presence in 40 countries with expertise in key industry vertical areas including government, healthcare, utilities, retail, entertainment and financial services.

In addition to its growth, Imprivata received several industry acknowledgments. Most recently the company was featured in an IDC Report titled, Enterprise IT Shops Attack Single Sign-On and Authentication Challenges with Secure Appliance Platform from Imprivata, Doc # 210066, December 2007. The report examines the growing number of IT security professionals looking to appliance-based solutions to protect the enterprise and includes profiles of five successful deployments, including BJC Healthcare, Tayside Fire and Rescue and Coface.
