Olivier Favre of Teradici to Present at Geek Day 2012

BURNABY, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Olivier Favre, director of product management, server solutions for Teradici, the developer of the PC-over-IP® (PCoIP®) protocol, will be presenting at Geek Day 2012. Teradici will also provide live demonstrations of its desktop virtualization solutions at the conference. The presentation will focus on solving CPU bottlenecks in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) deployments with the Teradici APEX 2800 server offload card for VMware View™. The new hardware card monitors the activity of all virtual machines on a server and offloads the most active 64 displays, reducing server CPU utilization by up to 50 percent. Favre’s session will also include a technical overview of the PCoIP protocol, and attendees will learn how PCoIP zero clients can help them achieve exceptional data security and lower IT management costs, all while providing an uncompromised user experience. Additionally, Teradici will provide live demonstrations of its joint healthcare solution with Imprivata, which provides PCoIP zero client users with fast and secure access to their desktops from any location with a simple tap of their badge.
