What is the Imprivata AutoFill Discovery app?

Imprivata AutoFill Discovery is an application that allows you to test an app's support for iOS's Password AutoFill without the need for an account with a third-party AutoFill service. Imprivata customers frequently test new apps and often their first question to Imprivata is whether an app's authentication workflows will work with our respective solutions. In most cases, Imprivata does not have the required third-party environments to determine this capability ourselves and making a support determination can often be cumbersome and/or time consuming. AutoFill Discovery allows anyone, including our customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to quickly test an app’s compatibility with Apple’s Password AutoFill framework, removing the guess work and getting customers the answers they need in an efficient manner. When using Password AutoFill on iOS, an end user may have to tap the screen once or twice depending on a third-party app vendor’s implementation of their application. AutoFill discovery will determine the end user experience and provide links to Apple documentation for how vendors can adjust or make the experience optimal for end users.

What is the Imprivata Mobile Device Access app?

The Imprivata Mobile Device Access application is designed for enterprise deployments in healthcare organizations and is not intended for use by consumers. For the application to function as designed, your organization must own the required amount of Imprivata (formerly OneSign) and Mobile Device Access licenses. This app is designed for enterprise deployments on company owned and managed devices and is not intended for use on personal devices. MDA uses accessibility features to recognize profiled (MDA managed) apps, on these corporate owned shared devices, for user authentication. MDA never logs any text from third party apps or the Android system that is available through the Accessibility API. MDA does not store or share personal information used during the authentication process. Please contact your organization or Imprivata support services for more details.
