Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to join the best and brightest of the NHS, many of who are Imprivata customers, at the ehi Awards gala in London. In a time when NHS funds are limited and efficiency gains – clinical and operational – are needed, these finalists represent those that have gone above and beyond to deliver the highest quality care and drive new innovative ways to deliver the right information to the right care provider at the right time in a patient’s journey.  

Deploying a new communication tool to thousands of users at the same time can be quite a daunting task. As healthcare providers consider adopting a secure messaging solution in their facility, we on the client services team often hear that they’re hesitant to move forward for fear that the new tool will trigger an increase in the volume of communication, resulting in too many notifications and unnecessary interruptions.

In honor of National Cyber Security Awareness Month, Imprivata recently hosted a Facebook Livestream Q&A where I got the chance to answer some of the most pressing cybersecurity questions from healthcare IT professionals, including questions about security budgets, clinician adoption of security solutions, and the biggest threats facing healthcare today.
