Imprivata Announces the Appointment of Carina Edwards to Head Its New Customer Experience Group

Strong business growth and introduction of new product lines drive the need for a group dedicated to customer engagement across the lifecycle

Lexington, Mass., December 18, 2012 – Imprivata®, the leader in healthcare IT security, today announced the appointment of Carina Edwards to senior vice president and head of its new Customer Experience Group, enabling the company to continue its focus on customer success as its business experiences rapid growth.  Edwards brings 17 years of healthcare IT experience to this new group that aims to deliver world-class experience across the customer lifecycle and drive success with Imprivata’s solutions to ensure customers are able to meet new and emerging healthcare IT security challenges.

Prior to joining Imprivata, Edwards was the vice president of Solutions Marketing for the healthcare IT division of Nuance Communications where she redefined the go-to-market strategy and rebranded the product portfolio to reposition the organization for multi-product sales, helping Nuance achieve larger market  share and increased sales to its base in order to achieve double-digit growth.  Edwards also held executive roles at Zynx Health, a subsidiary of Hearst Corporation, Philips Healthcare, Sapient, and Impact Innovations Group.  She received her MBA in marketing from Boston College and her BS in management information systems and decision sciences from George Mason University.
